FreeFotoForwarding.com ("we," "us," or "our") operates a free photo and video sharing service that lets creators upload photos and generate share links to send to family and friends. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our service.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use FreeFotoForwarding:

• Account Information: If you sign in with Google, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. If you continue as a guest, no account information is collected — a temporary session is created on your device.
• Uploaded Content: Photos and videos you upload, along with their original filenames, file sizes, dimensions, and any embedded EXIF metadata (date taken, camera model, GPS coordinates if present).
• Phone Number (Optional): If you opt in to receive SMS notifications about activity on your shared albums, we collect your mobile phone number.
• Usage Data: View counts, download counts, IP addresses, browser user agent, and approximate location of visitors who view your share links. This is used to show owners how their albums are performing and is not shared with third parties.
• Cookies: A single session cookie is used to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

3. SMS / Text Messaging

If you provide your phone number and consent to receive SMS messages from FreeFotoForwarding, the following applies:

• Purpose: We send SMS messages to notify album owners when their share link has been viewed, when a viewer downloads photos, or for other album-related activity that the owner has opted in to receive.
• Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on activity on your shared albums. You will not receive marketing messages.
• Message and Data Rates: Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details about your plan.
• Opt-Out: You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent.
• Help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at mashe63@gmail.com.
• No Sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes. Your phone number is used solely to deliver FreeFotoForwarding album notifications.
• Carriers: Supported carriers include but are not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint. Service may not be available on all carriers.
• Consent is Optional: Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of using FreeFotoForwarding. The service works fully without SMS notifications.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Store and serve the photos and videos you upload
• Generate share links and let viewers access your albums
• Show you statistics about how your albums are being viewed
• Send SMS notifications you have explicitly consented to receive
• Authenticate your identity and keep your session active
• Respond to your support requests
• Detect abuse and protect the service from misuse

5. Data Storage and Security

Your photos and videos are stored on Cloudflare R2 object storage with industry-standard encryption at rest. Album metadata is stored on our servers with appropriate access controls. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Share links use random tokens or owner-chosen slugs and are only accessible to people you give the link to. If a link has a password, the password is hashed with bcrypt before storage and is never recoverable in plaintext.

6. Data Retention

We retain your uploaded photos and album metadata for as long as your account is active or until you delete them. You may delete individual photos, individual albums, or your entire account at any time.

If you set an expiry date on a share link, the link will stop working after that date but the underlying photos remain in your account until you delete them or unless you also archive/delete the album.

Analytics data (view counts, visitor IPs) is retained for the lifetime of the album to power your dashboard. Deleting an album also deletes its analytics data.

7. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Sign-In (OAuth): Used to authenticate creators (governed by Google's Privacy Policy). We only request the minimum scopes needed: your name, email, and profile picture.
• Cloudflare R2: For storing your photos and videos (governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy).
• Twilio: For SMS message delivery if you opt in (governed by Twilio's Privacy Policy).
• Amazon Web Services: For hosting our application servers (governed by AWS's Privacy Policy).

We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We do not run advertising or use third-party tracking pixels.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information and uploaded content we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Delete individual photos, individual albums, or your entire account and all associated data
• Opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP
• Revoke Google Sign-In access through your Google account settings
• Export your photos at any time using the bulk download feature

9. Children's Privacy

FreeFotoForwarding is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of FreeFotoForwarding after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
